Beer Quarry Caves

We were keen to see the Beer Quarry Caves while we were here but unfortunately they were closed for the winter. We found a lot of things were closed until March. We could get to the gates though and had a look into the Chalk caves. The Romans started quarrying chalk from these caves thousands of years ago.
